WORKING OF ASPHALT BATCH MIX PLANT
Unheated and raw materials need to be initially put away in various containers according to their sizes. There are individual cold raw material feeder doors that control the stream of aggregates. They are then exchanged to the drying drum by means of a belt or conveyor hoist. In the drying asphalt drum mix plant, the burner dries and warms the raw matters. There is a dry dust collector unit and in this portion the heavy dust particles are settled down. The elevator transfers the heated particles to the top unit that has a screening unit. There are different layers in the screening unit which separates them on the bases of size. There are separate hot containers for storing of each sort of particle. After grouping the particles get released into the blending unit. Here they get perfectly mixed with bitumen and filler material. Bitumen tanks store the bitumen and also additionally heat up the bitumen to keep it in a molten state. Drawing station of bitumen directs it to the measuring pail. There is another bucket that weights it again before adding it into the mixer. After mixing, the material is released into the trucks or storehouses. The control board controls every one of the tasks of the plant
